Scheduling Proposal:

During the 2024 NCAA Convention, Division II’s football-sponsoring delegates narrowly approved a proposal.

This proposal permits schools to play their first permissible contest one week earlier than the current legislative date.

Effective from August 1, this change provides schools with flexibility in scheduling and allows them to play the maximum allowable 11 contests over a 12-week period if desired.

Participating teams in the 2024 NCAA Division II Football Championship:


  • Central Oklahoma: The Bronchos secured an impressive team score of 110 during the championship.
  • Lander: Lander performed admirably, earning a team score of 86.5.
  • Nebraska-Kearney: The Lopers contributed significantly with a team score of 77.5.
